Week 10 Match-ups
A few things look interesting to me this week:
AST v. FUL - Villa has been the surprise package so far this season, going undefeated thus far. Fulham have been notoriously bad on their travels the last couple of seasons, so Villa should win this one, but it will be tough one. Baros, Agbonlahor, Petrov, Barry, all could make good picks. Despite being dirt cheap, Angel hardly seems worth it -he commits too many fouls for a striker, and he seems to the be the striker the hold up and flick on the ball to the other attackers.
EVE v. SHEFF - Also looking strong so far, Everton host the EPL's worst team. Cahill, Arteta and AJ are all playing too well to ignore in a match-up like this, and there are a couple of reasonably-priced defenders available. Howard may even be the best clean sheet bet this week, as SheffU have not scored away from home yet.
TOTT v. W.HAM - Though not setting the league alight, Spurs should be able to handle the Hammers, who are giving up goals on the road and looking lost overall. Perhaps a punt on Defoe or Berbatov? Ekotto is cheap right now, but I never really fancy Spurs to keep a clean sheet.
The rest are intriguing match-ups that I would classify as slightly unpredictable. For instance, Charlton (who are horrid) are hosting Watford who have been leaking goals. And Boro host Newcastle, in a battle of two teams that are struggling. So, the odd offensive player selection could be a real steal. Yakubu, Darren Bent (maybe JFH???), Downing, come to mind in this group.
Next up, there are a couple of fixture that feature top teams, but that I predict will be verhy hard-fought, close games: ManU v. Liverpool, Chelsea host a much-improved Pompey and Arsenal away to Reading. ManU have been in scintillating form, but this will be a gritty game. Ans I don't expect Arsenal to roll over Reading at all.
