Sh*t-list
During the YFF down-time, agonizing over my potential line-up for the seemingly interminable 2-week break, I began thinking about players that I have absolutely no luck in selecting, decided to compile a list.
Joey Barton has been unlucky for me this season. He's got a great scoring average and has been playing fairly well consistently. The 2 or 3 times I picked him (it's been limited due to his high price), and he's had supposedly good match-ups, he's posted some of his worst YFF weeks, only to rebound the next game and score a goal.
Luis Garcia is another player that constantly screws me over. It's partly Rafa's rotation policy, but it just seems that whenever Garcia plays well and looks good for a start, he gets benched unexpectedly, or when he "should" perform well, he doesn't.
And, this season, the two Arsenal midfielders, Hleb and Rosicky have been impossible for me to predict. They have both been bargain priced at times and seem to make nice fits in the roster, but they never seem to score well for that particular week. I just can't seem to peg when they will get their shooting boots on.
I forgot to mention McBride. But this is a case of being unlucky when NOT picking him. Every single time this season when I have looked at one of his fixtures and said to myself 'he looks good this week', I have always managed to dissuade myself from selecting him because of inconsistency of his graph. Sure enough, each time that happens, he goes out and scores a goal or hit 10+ score. Sigh, maybe someday I will listen to my first instinct . [edit: once again, McBride was in my sights this week, not picked, only to score :( ]
