Overvalued?

To every successful bargain-bin pick (see previous entry), there is usually a flip side. In this double week, my "big guns" of Gerrard and Downing were fairly anonymous. Despite good match-ups and good form, they both failed to deliver the goods I expected, especially given the cost. No goals and barely a shot on target between them. Disappointing.
[Luckily, some of my other selections picked up the slack...]

But it goes to show that some week, YFF picking is a real crap shoot and you need a bit of luck. All the analyzing, statistical comparison and common sense won't account for the fickle football gods...
